Why we exist

To strengthen churches, schools, and families by integrating biblical truth with clinical excellence, equipping Christlike therapists and serving communities locally and nationwide.

Where we're going

To become a trusted bridge between churches and mental health professionals by forming therapists of depth, conviction, and competence and equipping the Church to care well for emotional and relational needs nationwide.

What we believe & how we work

Human Dignity

We believe every person bears the image of God, and that honoring that image means caring for the whole person. Their spiritual life and their emotional reality, held together with equal seriousness.

Biblical Fidelity

Scripture is the lens through which human suffering makes deeper sense and human healing becomes more complete. That conviction doesn't weaken clinical care; the research shows it deepens it.

Gospel-Centered Hope

Transformation is possible. Romans 12:2 names it. We've watched it happen in the room, year after year, with real people.

Christlike Character

The posture we bring into the room matters as much as the training we carry into it. Humility, presence, and genuine care for the person in front of us are not soft additions to good clinical work. They are the work.

Church Partnership

We believe the Church was never meant to carry its people's pain alone. When pastors and clinicians do their work well together, people get the care they actually need.

Co-Founder & Clinical Therapist

Adam Jelloian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #130755) with an MS in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. He started his clinical work at Redwood Middle School, then worked at two treatment centers, Destinations for Teens and Oak Forest Recovery, before landing at Simi Psychological Group and becoming fully licensed in 2022. Looking back, Adam sees those years as the Lord's quiet preparation, each setting sharpening the same conviction: that faith and mental health belong in the same room. Abide Counseling Collective, co-founded with Spencer Posey, came together slowly after that, their paths overlapping until the two of them realized they were already doing the same work.

He works with teens, adults, and couples on anxiety, depression, identity, relationship issues, addiction, and life transitions, drawing mainly from a family systems framework alongside CBT and EMDR. Psalm 23 shapes that work: David writes that the Lord prepares a table for him and sits with him there, in the presence of his enemies, calling him to fix his eyes on the one seated across from him and trust him fully while circumstances, false beliefs, and feelings circle around. What keeps Adam in this is watching people start to see themselves as God sees them: image-bearers whose worth outlasts the wounds that once defined them, finally heard and understood. Abide exists to make that possible.

Adam attends The Church at Rocky Peak, where he has served on the worship team and co-led a men's life group. Outside the office, he spends quality time with his wife and daughter, surfs, hikes, and returns to Yosemite whenever he can, as much a mountains person as a beach person, and a self-proclaimed barista at heart.

Co-Founder & Clinical Therapist

Spencer Posey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #141641) and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) specializing in helping couples and individuals heal from pornography and sex addiction and betrayal trauma. Two passages anchor his work: Isaiah 61, where the Lord's Anointed — words Jesus claims as his own in Luke 4 — binds up the brokenhearted and gives beauty in place of ashes, and Zechariah 3, where God silences the accuser, strips the priest of his filthy garments, and clothes him in clean ones. Spencer believes recovery follows that same movement: shame is not managed or hidden but taken off by God himself, and a truer identity is put on.

He knows this from the inside. Spencer struggled with pornography from junior high into his marriage, and it was during Talbot Seminary's Spiritual Formation program that he recognized how much shame was actually driving the compulsive behavior. He had anchored his identity in his shame rather than in his resurrected identity in Christ. As those shame narratives were dismantled and no longer permitted to define him, he found the freedom to live out of the grace and mercy secured at the cross. That experience shapes how he sits with clients: without judgment, and without pretending the work is easy.

Spencer earned his MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and his BA in Christian Ministries with a minor in Biblical Studies from Biola University, and is trained in EMDR and PACT (Level 1). He began his clinical work at the Center for Integrative Change before becoming licensed in 2023 and founding Landmark Christian Counseling in 2024. Abide Counseling Collective, founded alongside Adam Jelloian, is the latest chapter of that work. Outside the office, he can usually be found trail running, camping with his family, or taking his wife and kids to Disneyland.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Supervised by Spencer Posey, LMFT #141641

Faith Field is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #165638) practicing under the supervision of Spencer Posey, LMFT #141641. She earned her MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and her BA in Christian Education from Arizona Christian University. Before graduate school she spent years in ministry, first as the high school director at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, where she led small groups, retreats, and mission trips and counseled students and families in crisis, and later as elementary director at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village. Those years showed her how much of life comes down to relationships, and eventually they led her to Fuller.

Faith completed her clinical training at Village Community Counseling Center in Burbank, where she provided individual therapy to children, teens, and adults, co-led a recovery class for people working toward sobriety, ran an emotional skills group for preschoolers using play therapy, and offered premarital counseling. Her practicum there focused on couples and family therapy through Bowen family systems and David Schnarch's Crucible approach, and she also draws on Internal Family Systems. She is Gottman Level 1 and SBIRT certified and a member of CAMFT.

Faith works with anyone who wants a better relationship, whether that is a child who fights with siblings or classmates, a teen having a hard time with friends, a single adult who wants to date well or find community, parents, or a couple in crisis or just dealing with everyday challenges. She believes anxiety lives in the body and shapes how people act toward the people they love, so much of her work starts with helping clients calm their nervous system enough to see themselves and others clearly. Psalm 91:1 has been one of her favorite verses for years: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." The psalm was written for people under real threat, and its opening line describes someone who has made God both their refuge and the place they abide. Her work runs on the same idea. When a person feels unsafe, the body goes on defense, and the protective habits that follow are usually what damage a relationship. When a person feels safe, those habits come into view and can change. Faith believes the deepest source of that safety is God himself. She relies on the Holy Spirit to guide each session, and safety, honesty, authenticity, and compassion shape how she works with every client. Outside the office, Faith loves to read, have dinner with friends, play card and board games, and do Pilates. Most evenings she is on the couch with her husband and their dogs, or out walking them. Once in a while you will find her on a golf course.
