Who we are
We are a group practice of licensed therapists who are practicing Christians. We believe Jesus is the ultimate healer. We believe Scripture is honest about where life comes apart and about how Christ's work through human history restores what was broken. Our work with clients is grounded in these beliefs.
We use the same assessments and treatment models any licensed therapist would use, and we hold our methods to the research. If you are looking for a Christian therapist in Thousand Oaks, that is who we are: licensed clinicians who share your faith. Your faith is part of the picture here, and the clinical work stays careful. People who are not Christians are welcome and receive the same care.
What we work on
Four problems account for much of what people bring to us.

We also offer individual therapy, couples therapy, premarital counseling, and preteen and teen counseling. Adam Jelloian, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT #130755. Co-founder. Adam works with teens, adults and couples on anxiety, depression, identity and relationship problems, and he is trained in EMDR.
Faith Field, Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT #165638, employed by Abide Counseling Collective and supervised by Spencer Posey, LMFT #141641. Faith works with individuals and couples of all ages.

Churches and schools in the Conejo Valley
Pastors and school staff carry situations they are not trained or licensed to handle alone. We take referrals from churches and Christian schools across the Conejo Valley, including Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills and Oak Park. We consult with ministry teams on when a situation needs a clinician. We also offer staff workshops, parent seminars and a clinical premarital add-on for congregations that already run a premarital class. The office sits just north of the 101 at Westlake Boulevard, on the line between Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks. From central Thousand Oaks it is a short drive east on the 101, about ten minutes. From Newbury Park it is a few exits further, roughly fifteen minutes.
We also see clients by telehealth anywhere in California. Some people in Thousand Oaks start in the office and move to video once the work is underway. Others do the whole thing by video.

Call (805) 998-3903 or email hello@abidecounselingcollective.com and tell us briefly what you are dealing with. We offer a free 15-minute phone call. On that call we will say whether we are the right fit and, if we are not, who we would send you to instead. We reply the same business day.
We are a private-pay practice. The session rate is $225. We provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement, and a Good Faith Estimate is available on request.

Do I need to be a Christian to see you?
No. Our beliefs shape how we work, and we state them plainly. Clients who do not share them are welcome and are treated with the same care.
Is Christian counseling different from regular therapy?
The clinical work is the same. What differs is that your faith is treated as part of who you are. Prayer and Scripture have a place in the room. Prayer sits alongside treatment, and symptoms are treated as symptoms.
Do you take insurance?
We do not bill insurance directly. We provide a superbill after each session that you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Check your plan's out-of-network benefits before you book.
