We believe every person bears the image of God, and that honoring that image means caring for the whole person. Their spiritual life and their emotional reality, held together with equal seriousness.
Scripture is the lens through which human suffering makes deeper sense and human healing becomes more complete. That conviction doesn't weaken clinical care; the research shows it deepens it.
Transformation is possible. Romans 12:2 names it. We've watched it happen in the room, year after year, with real people.
The posture we bring into the room matters as much as the training we carry into it. Humility, presence, and genuine care for the person in front of us are not soft additions to good clinical work. They are the work.
We believe the Church was never meant to carry its people's pain alone. When pastors and clinicians do their work well together, people get the care they actually need.
Adam Jelloian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #130755) with an MS in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University. He works with teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions, drawing on family systems, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and EMDR inside a faith-integrated framework.

Spencer Posey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #141641) and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) specializing in helping couples and individuals heal from pornography and sex addiction and betrayal trauma. Two passages anchor his work: Isaiah 61, where the Lord's Anointed — words Jesus claims as his own in Luke 4 — binds up the brokenhearted and gives beauty in place of ashes, and Zechariah 3, where God silences the accuser, strips the priest of his filthy garments, and clothes him in clean ones. Spencer believes recovery follows that same movement: shame is not managed or hidden but taken off by God himself, and a truer identity is put on.
He knows this from the inside. Spencer struggled with pornography from junior high into his marriage, and it was during Talbot Seminary's Spiritual Formation program that he recognized how much shame was actually driving the compulsive behavior. He had anchored his identity in his shame rather than in his resurrected identity in Christ. As those shame narratives were dismantled and no longer permitted to define him, he found the freedom to live out of the grace and mercy secured at the cross. That experience shapes how he sits with clients: without judgment, and without pretending the work is easy.
Spencer earned his MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and his BA in Christian Ministries with a minor in Biblical Studies from Biola University, and is trained in EMDR and PACT (Level 1). He began his clinical work at the Center for Integrative Change in Ventura before becoming licensed in 2023 and founding Landmark Christian Counseling in 2024. Abide Counseling Collective, founded alongside Adam Jelloian, is the latest chapter of that work. Spencer lives in Ventura County, where he can usually be found trail running, camping with his family, or taking his wife and kids to Disneyland.
